Why Media dislike BJP ?

Background of media houses
Hindu, they have been pro-communist and still love to tread the same path
Hindustan Times, Shobhana Bhartia was politically affiliated with the Indian National Congress and is MP also , all thanx to Congress.
Times Of India, hmm all I can say about them is that they are Dal-badalu, they have a record of favouring the party in the power, and doing the same this time also. I remember how in 2004, they were called as pro-BJP.
Indian Express, all thanx to the strong foundation of respected RamnathJI, this is the only newspaper which has the guts to follow what they call as journalism of courage, however most of time they take anti-power route.
Pioneer, when BJP analysed the English media, like I did it , they thought of having atleast a newspaper to support their cause, thus Chandan Mitra was inducted and hence now we have atleast one pro-BJP paper.

Now coming back to the main theme of the discussion why most of them dislike BJP, well for me answer is the double standard of BJP.
Today BJP is happily celebrating the juta (shoe)-incident, yesterday they did this:
- Kandhamal Riots accused Manoj Pradhan got BJP ticket (I condem killing of Swamiji)
- Mayaben was the minister in Gujarat ( I know she is very close to Advani, after all both are sindi)
-Despite claiming to be a party with difference, recently in UP, they inducted “Neera Yadav”-the most corrupted civil servant, also given ticket to historysheeter-Ramakant-Yadav.
-Promoted people like Varun
-While congress have been condemning 1984, no one in BJP (expect Atalji) did so ( anyway my take on this is, they will never do since BJP don’t wants Muslim votes, and why congress did was the Sikh votes) .
-Troubled Tarun Tejpal and his team, after they did what they did ( Tehelka)

Having said all this let me conclude, to whom I will vote..
I have been voting (always) to BJP is all sort of election ( after all Lucknow is still BJP’s land and this much I can do for all the good work Atalji has done) and will vote again to them only. Reason is simple, for me they are Bad, but the other choices worse, esp the anti-development-party (congress), who loves to have poor and uneducated Indian and without and proper infrastructure.

  2. Kamal Rathi Said,

We have created a funny nomenclature in our country: if you are a Hindu and defend your faith, you are a 'Hindu nationalist' a pejorative reminiscent of Nazi Nationalism. But if you are a Hindu and use your lung power to loudly attack Hinduism and Hindus for crimes they never committed, then you are a great 'secularist'. As for the accusation of Manoj Pradhan, I would say that he is not yet proven guilty (you need to give time to law to take its own course).
On Neera Yadav, I too feel that its a wrong doing by BJP that they have inducted her...but Thank God she hasnt been given a ticket.
The Varun Gandhi fiasco needs to be seen in a bit deeper context. His claims that the cd was doctored is still to be found out (if correct or not), and I am amazed by the fact that the Congress govt. has still not done anything to quicken the process of verifying his claims. My point is that in this modern tech age, it would take hardly an hour to find out if his claim is correct or not. I am not able to understand why is the government not doing it fast.May be the Congress govt. has something to hide.....moreover the NSA charged on him is unconstitutional...
Condemning and apologising the '84 riots wont wash Congress's linens.I mean its 25 years since the trials started and still the final results are yet to be out.

I would also like to add to this, that I am a pro Hindu, but not an anti muslim or anti christian or anti - any other religion. Secularism has become a vote winning word for the politicians. You try to get votes on names of Dalits, Brahmins, Nairs, Rajputs etc. then you are a secularist but if you talk anything about Hinduism then you are a Hardliner. What a tragedy... :(
